This highly acclaimed company presents a moving performance of one of the finest and best-loved of all operas. Violetta, the beautiful but doomed “fallen woman” of the opera’s title, lives a life of luxury and pleasure in the glittering salons of nineteenth century Paris. Her life is transformed by the love of the naive young Alfredo, but their new found happiness proves all too brief. One of the greatest of all romantic love stories, La Traviata contains some of Verdi’s most sublime, passionate music, including the famous drinking song “Libiamo” and Violetta’s show stopping “Sempre Libera”.
